I bought a Brother SE270D sewing & embroidery machine in the spring of 2007.  I've never sewn before, but I had a lot of fun learning.  I wish I had learned how to do this years ago.

Here are some of the projects I did my first year of sewing.

I had the Service Unit's logo digitized, and embroidered it on one side, with a SU Team member's name on the other side. I made 18 of these bags.

A magnet I made for a friend. :-) It is a cross-stitch design on felt about the size of a business card.

This was made by stitching onto a water-soluble stabilizer. The item is soaked when finished, and all that's left is the thread. I like this a lot!

This is the tablecloth for the PTA table outside the front office at our children's elementary school. The school mascot is the python.

I embroidered two aprons for Father's Day for the kids to give to their Dad and Grandpa. This is after the embroidery, and before the paint went on.

I embroidered tote bags for all of the girls in our Daisy troop as a gift for their end-of-year bridging over to Brownies. One side of the bag had a girl and her name, the other side had the word "Brownie" and our troop number. I made myself a bag too of course.
